The Arts Council of Brownwood is pleased to announce that the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will be performing on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School.
They will be conducted by Daniel Black, Assistant Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. As assistant conductor, he conducted over 60 concerts in 2014-15, and received critical acclaim for his performance of Handel’s Messiah.
The program will include:
- Overture to William Tell, by Rossini
- Concerto No. 2 in D major for Flute and Orchestra, by Mozart
with soloist Jake Fridkis, FWSO principal flute - Symphony No. 8 in G major, by Dvořák
This performance is made possible with the help of a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts.
